Septic Systems - Lewis Excavation

Septic systems

We are licensed bonded and insured to do Complex and Standard Septic Systems in the state of Idaho.

Also called On-Site Wastewater system, septic systems are installed mostly in rural areas where no municipal system exists. Septic systems usually consist of a concrete tank and underground drainfield to dispose of wastewater on-site.
Individual septic systems are required to be installed by a licensed installer.

Generally speaking you should have your Septic Tank pumped every 5 years.

Steps to follow in the state of idaho to have a septic system installed on your property are as follows.

  • Before purchasing your permit it is a good idea to have a registered contractor conduct a site evaluation of your property to determine what septic system will be required for your particular property.
  • You must then obtain a permit from your local Public Health District.
  • Once the septic system has been installed it will be inspected by your local Public Health District.
